[glow=saddlebrown,1,800]A dark silhoutte emerged into the clear frame of the unknown queen of dare. She paced with a quick reckless beat of a fiery soul, her hooves dancing on the soft dirt. Confident as always. Orbs aglow, her uplifted mood was alert and scanning the surrounding terrain. Wolf was the name.
She was certainly of an unusual color. A peculiarity unmatched by even the laughing of a lone hyena. A strange pattern of a brilliant black, tan, and gold. White was rare in this kaleidoscope of color but flanked the flowing silk of her mane and tail briefly. Calico, some would say. Perhaps, but tortoiseshell was more like it. Her pelt was splashed with a nameless mix of dark paint. Her trot continued across the open space until it slowed to a mild walk. A final stop ended the rhythm of motion. Her visage rose to meet the distance that glimmered far to the other side. The soft banner of a tail tossed side to side as the blatant silence overcame the scenery. The vix snorted to disrupt the serenity of the quiet land. Her precise eyes captured the moment of the flock's sudden flight. Something was lurking near that had caused the chittering birds to panic and frantically lift themselves into the safe air. The spirited vixen gazed the circling group of avians above that had now flown themselves to calmness. Now, what could be causing them a horrible distress so abruptly? Oh, right. Her.
The mare dropped her attention back to the earth her four ebony hooves were planted on. The green hue of foliage comforted her for it symbolized the golden key to satisfying hunger. The lush plain was covered with clean food. Strong, grand shelters named oak trees gave desirable shade and cooling. Not a single hint of wind was perceived in the air. The sight of the open meadow was vaguely freeing and she fought herself from the temptation of dashing across the clearing. She could stay here awhile. Until something fairly interesting happened that is.[/glow]
